Will Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Cole Van Lanen play in the team's AFC wild-card playoff game against the Buffalo Bills?

Following Friday's practice, here is what we know.

Will Cole Van Lanen play in the Jaguars vs. Bills game?

Van Lanen suffered a knee injury last week against Tennessee that forced him to exit that game early.

After not practicing on Wednesday or Thursday this week, Van Lanen returned to the practice field on Friday and was limited.

He is officially listed as questionable for the playoff matchup.

Every injury situation is different, but it's worth noting that:

#Jaguars this season had five instances of player going DNP-DNP-Limited on injury report like Van Lanen is …

Did not play in game: Wyatt Milum Week 2, Travon Walker Week 5, Robert Hainsey Weeks 6/16,

Did play in game: Ezra Cleveland Week 3.

Here you can find the full Jaguars vs. Bills' final injury report.

Cole Van Lanen's 2025 season

Throughout the season, Van Lanen has started at every offensive line position except for center. But over the last month-plus, he has taken over as the Jaguars' starting left tackle.

Prior to the Tennessee game, when he left early, Van Lanen ranked 10th among all tackles in PFF's pass-blocking efficiency metric. He also ranked 10th in run-blocking grade during that span as well.

Jacksonville Jaguars' left tackle depth chart

If without Van Lanen, Walker Little will likely start at left tackle. For much of the year, he was the Jaguars' starter at that position, but was displaced after Van Lanen played very well when filling in for Little in Weeks 14 and 15 when he was out with an injury.

On the year, Little has played 785 left tackle snaps, according to PFF, and ranks 77th among tackles in pass-blocking efficiency. In run-blocking grade, he ranks 52nd.
