One NFL analyst believes that the Jacksonville Jaguars should be looking to move on from a former starter on the offensive side of the ball.
Moe Moton of Bleacher Report recently highlighted one player that each NFL team should be attempting to trade. For the Jaguars, Moton selected offensive tackle Walker Little -- a popular pick this offseason in these conversations.
Little's play was up and down last season, which led to Cole Van Lanen taking over at left tackle. With Anton Harrison at right tackle, that leaves Little to come off the bench this season, making a trade consideration worthwhile, considering the potential return the Jaguars could get.
However, while GM James Gladstone has shown a willingness to make trades, it might be in the Jaguars' best interest to hold on to Walker. Van Lanen is still working his way back from a knee injury in OTAs, and there is certainly value in having experience off the bench, particularly someone who can play both tackle spots, and the Jaguars even had Little playing some guard last season.
The trade would also create $11.94 million in cap savings for the Jaguars, but there also has to be a team willing to take on the remainder of Little's deal, which includes an $11 million base salary in 2026 and a $12 million base salary in 2027.
Over the last year, the Jaguars have embraced competition along the offensive line under Liam Coen and Gladstone. This move would be the opposite of that.
