Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards suffered a hyperextension of his left knee during the opening round of the NBA postseason.
Even though Edwards missed the final two games of the first round against the Denver Nuggets, the Timberwolves still advanced to play the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference semifinals. Edwards was originally expected to miss at least Game 1 and Game 2 of the series against the Spurs.
He is traveling with the team and he was, however, cleared for basketball activities and upgraded to questionable to start the round against San Antonio.
Despite the bone bruise in his left knee, he looked comfortable during warmups. Still, don't expect him on the court during Game 1.
He did, though, share an update on his YouTube channel about his injury as well:
In the video, he said that because it's the playoffs, he's willing to go out there on one leg if needed.
While that's probably a rushed timeline, expect an expedited recovery for Edwards rather than a long one.
