The Wisconsin Badgers are kicking off summer workouts, as their new-look team starts to mesh with each other ahead of the season.
Wisconsin added a couple of new faces to a group that returns Nolan Winter and Austin Rapp in the frontcourt, following the departure of several rotation players this offseason.
Australian point guard Owen Foxwell, who has played the last two years in the NBL, was brought in to replace Nick Boyd and is expected to provide a blend of playmaking and defense to a unit that needs more of both in 2026.
George Washington guard Trey Autry seems to be a quality fit in the backcourt as a shooter who shot over 38 percent from deep last season while averaging double figures. His profile looks very similar to Braeden Carrington last year as a three-and-D wing who Greg Gard can set up plenty of actions for.
Perhaps the biggest addition from the transfer portal was Miami (OH) wing Eian Elmer, who had declared and withdrawn from the 2026 NBA Draft. Elmer averaged 12.7 points per game on incredible efficiency last year, hitting nearly 50 percent of his shots and 43 percent of his threes for a Top 25 team last season.
Of course, the Badgers will have their frontcourt duo, who should both pack a punch in scoring. Winter could take on a bigger role in the offense, while Rapp seems poised for the biggest jump after a strong end to the season.

Elmer and Winter split the vote, receiving 38 percent and 36 percent, respectively. Both players did average the most points of the group last year, with Elmer averaging 12.7 a game for Miami (OH), while Winter averaged 13.1 a game for Wisconsin.
Wisconsin has done a good job developing wings, be it AJ Storr, John Tonje, or John Blackwell, and Elmer could very well be the next successful one on the list. But the Badgers should have a couple of quality scoring options next year.
