With another receiver limping onto the injured list, the Cardinals hope that two others can return to health by Wednesday.

Jason McAddley is expected to miss three to four weeks after suffering an injury to his right hamstring in the third quarter against Green Bay.

The extent of McAddley's injury isn't known, but it's more than a strain.

"I've had little pulls before, but not anything like this," he said. "I felt something pop."

His injury left the Cardinals with three healthy receivers. Later in the game, Nate Poole left after a contact lens became dislodged in his eye.

Tight end Steve Bush was the team's third receiver late in the game.

"They found his contact somewhere up around his brain," coach Dave McGinnis said of Poole. "It's hard when you need a receiver and you have doctors and trainers on the sideline searching his head for a contact."

McGinnis is hopeful that Bryan Gilmore and Larry Foster, who started the season opener, can play this week in St. Louis. They've both missed the past two weeks, Gilmore with a knee sprain and Foster with a sprained ankle.

In addition, rookie Anquan Boldin has a "bruised ass," McGinnis said, but he shouldn't miss any time.

"Is that a medical term?" McGinnis said. "He played the whole game with it. This guy is tough, tough, tough."

Rave reviews

McGinnis praised the play of his offensive line, which didn't allow a sack against Green Bay.

Left tackle L.J. Shelton shut down Packers end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, and right tackle Anthony Clement handled end Joe Johnson.

Guard Chris Dishman played much better than he did in the season opener, when he struggled against Detroit's Dan Wilkinson.

Dishman started in place of Leonard Davis, who has a sore right foot.

His status for Sunday's game is unknown.

"Dish admittedly did not have a good outing against Detroit," McGinnis said. "But that's the mark of a professional and a guy who takes pride in his work. He's worked the last two weeks, and he had a very, very good game."

Limping home

Wendell Bryant's return to his hometown of St. Louis, where the Cardinals play this weekend, was ruined by the high ankle sprain he suffered on the first play against the Packers.

Bryant didn't return to the game, and he's expected to miss at least a week or two of action.

A native of St. Louis, Bryant played at Wisconsin and was the 12th overall pick in the 2002 draft.

Barron Tanner or Marcus Bell will replace him in the starting lineup.

I do not like the term "status unknown" for leonard davis - makes it sound like they do not know what is wrong with his foot - which is not a good thing..

I think they're trying to come up with something that doesn't make him sound like a wuss for not playing.

You know, something better than "sprained ankle"...
