The Georgia Bulldogs will begin spring practice with a familiar question mark. Georgia lost a ton of receiving production to the 2026 NFL draft.

Georgia lost six of their seven leading receivers from the 2025 college football season. Last year's record-setting receiver, Zachariah Branch, is Georgia's most notable offseason loss, but the Dawgs are also losing wide receivers Colbie Young, Dillon Bell and Noah Thomas. Georgia also lost 2025's top receiving tight end, Oscar Delp, and third-down back Cash Jones.

Georgia will look to rebuild the receiver room with London Humphreys along with Georgia Tech transfer Isaiah Canion. The Bulldogs are hoping for a returning player to emerge as a breakout receiver. Sacovie White-Helton could takeover as Georgia's top threat in the screen game. Georgia's Talyn Taylor is another logical breakout, but he had just two catches for 28 yards a season ago.

Tight ends Lawson Luckie and Elyiss Williams should be more than able to hold their own with increased usage in 2026. Georgia starting running back Nate Frazier projects as the Bulldogs' top receiving option out of the backfield.

Concerned Georgia fans will fear this Georgia receiver group could resemble the 2024 core. Back in 2024, Georgia struggled with drops and consistency. While the Bulldogs improved in 2025, most of Georgia's receiver room from last season is gone.

A lot of experts will point to the talent Georgia returns along with new recruits as reasons for optimism in 2026. Realistically, this Georgia receiver group stands out as a potential position of weakness because of the combination of lost production and experience of the departing players.

During the 2025 offseason, we highlighted a similar level of lost sack production (seven of Georgia's eight leading sack producers). Georgia ended up finishing last in the SEC with 20 sacks in 2025.

Georgia's wide receiver room finds itself in a similar position entering 2026 spring practice, but returning starting quarterback Gunner Stockton helps give the Bulldogs some continuity. The Bulldogs have talent at wide receiver, but Georgia's top pass catchers will have to produce much more than they did a season ago.
