So far, all of the Atlanta Falcons' biggest moves this offseason have been either the front office variety, or paying their current players to stick around. Star wide receiver Drake London's four-year contract extension is the team's most-expensive investment, followed by the franchise tag for tight end Kyle Pitts. They're also expected to give a new deal to running back Bijan Robinson, who should become the NFL's highest-paid running back.

Keeping your best players around is good, but it doesn't actually make your roster any better. On that score, the Falcons have been pretty conservative this year. Their most-notable deal for an outside free agent was a two-year, $15 million contract for wide receiver Jahan Dotson, a move that's been widely questioned.

The good news is there's still time for the Falcons to make a splash or two, and they have plenty of cap space (around $27.6 million) to get it done. The three highest-ranked free agents according to NFL.com should all be of interest.

DE Joey Bosa

At the top of the list is five-time Pro Bowler Joey Bosa, who may be nearing the end of his NFL journey but can still make an impact. Last season with the Buffalo Bills Bosa put up five sacks, 15 quarterback hits and nine tackles for a loss. The Falcons should be looking for edge-rushing help in the event that James Pearce Jr. gets suspended by the NFL - and similar cases have seen players sidelined for eight games by the league office. If that's the case for Pearce, they won't find a better short-term option than Bosa.

WR Stefon Diggs

Unless Jahan Dotson turns into a star overnight, the Falcons are going to need more firepower on the boundary at wide receiver opposite Drake London. The biggest name on the market is Stefon Diggs, who's coming off a 2025 season that saw him post 88 catches, 1,014 yards and four touchdowns with the Patriots. Since 2017, Diggs has arguably been the NFL's most-consistent statistical monster at the position. However, the Falcons would have to be willing to overlook Diggs' recent off-field issues.

WR Deebo Samuel

If the Falcons decide they need a receiver but don't want to deal with Diggs, the next-best wideout on the market is former 49ers and Commanders star Deebo Samuel. Last year in Washington, he totaled 72 catches, 727 yards and five touchdowns. Even if Samuel can no longer contribute in the running game, he's still a good enough receiver to complete the look for Atlanta's passing game.
