Scottie Scheffler will be playing alongside Si Woo Kim on Sunday in the final group at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson.
That’s in spite of the fact that Wyndham Clark finished first and is on the same score as Scheffler.
The final round at TPC Craig Ranch should be incredibly exciting to watch, with Si Woo Kim leading the way and Scheffler and Clark sitting just two strokes adrift of the South Korean.
Scottie Scheffler and Wyndham Clark both posted rounds of 65 on Saturday at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

Scheffler will be the firm fan favorite on Sunday at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson, due to his ties to the Dallas area.
He will be absolutely delighted that he will be in the final group alongside Si Woo Kim on Sunday, despite the fact that he finished after Wyndham Clark.

Scheffler played alongside Clark on day three at TPC Craig Ranch.
They both began the day on 13-under par and finished up on 19-under.
When Clark tapped in for his par before Scheffler did on the 18th green, golf fans presumed that the 2023 U.S. Open champion would be in the final group with Si Woo Kim on Sunday.
However, it was Scheffler who earned a spot alongside the South Korean.

This is a highly rare and unusual situation where the PGA Tour’s ‘first in last out’ rule does not actually apply.
The reason why Scheffler will be in the final group with Si Woo Kim is because he had the honor on the first tee, and hit his opening drive first before Clark.
Quirky exception to PGA Tour rule a big boost for Scottie Scheffler
The most famous example of this happening before was at The Players Championship in 2013, when Sergio Garcia earned a spot in the final group alongside David Lingmerth.
That was in spite of the fact that Garcia’s third round playing partner, Tiger Woods, who was on the same score as the Spaniard, tapped in before he did on the 18th green.
It’s a really quirky exception to the rule that hardly ever happens at all.
However, it has worked in Scottie Scheffler’s favor at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson this week.
He now has the chance to directly apply some pressure to Si Woo Kim on Sunday afternoon in McKinney, Texas.
Now the onus is on the 29-year-old world number one to produce the goods as he goes in search of his 21st PGA Tour victory.
