OXFORD — Although he plans to leave Oxford in one year, Ole Miss football quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has put down roots in the town.
Chambliss transferred to Ole Miss from Division II Ferris State in Michigan before the 2025 season. He emerged as one of the biggest stars in college football in 2025 and led the Rebels to the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Although he projects to be an NFL draft pick after the 2026 season, Chambliss purchased a house in downtown Oxford this summer.
"Oxford is home," Chambliss said July 22 at SEC media days. "It's going to be home for a lot of years to come now. It was honestly an investment as well."
Chambliss is making in excess of $5 million, per Yahoo's Ross Dellenger. The revenue possibilities that come with being a star collegiate quarterback is one of the reasons Chambliss fought in court to return to college to play a fourth season.
The house is on the Oxford Courthouse Square downtown. He has moved in and won't have to worry about yardwork.
"There's no yard," he said. "It's on the square. So I open the door and it's just street. I'd say the space (is my favorite part) and it's also got patios on every level, so it's nice."
Former Ole Miss football quarterback Jaxson Dart bought an Oxford house in summer 2025. He was taken in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the New York Giants.
Chambliss said his new home will allow him to experience an Ole Miss football game like a fan would when his playing career is over.
"Hopefully I have a long NFL career, God willing, and once I'm done playing football I can come to Ole Miss games and use that property and finally go to The Grove," he said.
