The Philadelphia Phillies' broadcast team will look different for the 2026 MLB season.
NBC Sports Philadelphia announced that Taryn Hatcher won't be back in her role as in-game reporter.
Phillies fans aren't thrilled.
Tom McCarthy and John Kruk will remain the play-by-play and color commentator, respectively.

What happened to Taryn Hatcher?
A few different reports emerged Friday to explain why Hatcher won't be back in her role covering the Phillies in 2026.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Hatcher's position has been eliminated entirely, which would mean no one new will be hired to do the job in her place.
Crossing Broad reported that there had been discussions of a freelance position for Hatcher but that nothing came together on that front.
It doesn't sound like anything particularly negative happened, and it might just be a new view on certain roles by the network.
Hatcher worked just home games in 2025. Whether there's someone new in her role for the season ahead remains to be seen.
