Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton has a chance to secure his first-ever feature race win with the Italian team at Monaco.
Hamilton secured his highest finish in a race as a member of the Scuderia in Canada — a second-place result.
He is looking quite comfortable in the Ferrari, even besting his teammate Charles Leclerc in certain races this year.
His qualifying pace has improved by leaps and bounds, allowing his race pace and racecraft to shine through and leading to better weekends than in his Ferrari rookie year.

Hamilton has been able to stay within just three points of Leclerc in the standings.
The Ferrari is still down compared to the Mercedes and has slipped a bit in their battle alongside McLaren for best of the rest, but their slow-corner speed remains at the top of the field.
In terms of straight-line speed, the car is lacking compared to the German car manufacturer.
“I’m able to hold on or keep up with them through the corners, and I can’t push the pedal any further,” Hamilton said after Canada when talking about Mercedes. “You see them just eking out (on) the straight, and you catch them back in the brakes; they eke it out in the straight. It’s really hard.
“Even when you get the overtake (boost), you get within a second, they still pull away. So that’s how much grunt they have, and we’re massively down.”

Monaco is a track known for its slow-speed corners, and the throttle issues and overall speed concerns are quite stifled with the Ferrari car dancing around the corners very well and keeping speed.
The layout has Hamilton hopeful that he can really fight for a win now that it would be a fair fight with the speedy Mercedes cars.
“Our car could be really strong there,” Hamilton said. “I’m really going to focus on making sure I arrive with the same energy as I had this weekend (in Canada), really study hard with the engineers to make sure we position the car in the right place from (first practice).
“If you take away the power deficit, we’re in the fight with these guys.”
Hamilton will have a big challenge from teammate Charles Leclerc, who knows the circuit like the back of his hand and still has a qualifying edge on Lewis.
Leclerc is the odds-on favorite, but if he makes a mistake, Hamilton will be their captialize on a track that he has won before.
