Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton thinks that a win is on the cards, his first with Ferrari, after earning an amazing podium finish at Monaco.
It has been more than a few races at this point — Hamilton is performing among the elite racers in F1.
He experienced a brutal 2025 season, falling short of his teammate, Charles Leclerc, race after race and looking like a shell of his former self.
Hamilton, however, has truly turned things around, finishing second at Monaco and sitting second in the Drivers’ Championship as well.

Hamilton has put together a string of strong weeks, building a team around him that has unlocked the most from his driving style, while moving on from a regulation cycle that has given him fits.
With all of the momentum bubbling, the seven-time champion sees the light at the end of the tunnel — his first win as a member of the Scuderia is close.
“I can’t believe that I’m second in the championship and I’m really happy and thankful for that,” Hamilton said.
“I couldn’t have done that without this team, without the reliability that we have, and also with Fred. Fred has been awesome in supporting me. Last year was really tough for both of us and [I’ve been] begging him for certain changes [to his team and car], and he pulled through.
“He did those and now I’m seeing the fruits of that and I’m able to finally deliver for them. It’s still very early days in the season, so we just have to keep chasing. It’s actually easier to chase than it is to defend, I would say.
“So, whilst these guys are very quick and they’re an amazing team, we’re going to keep pushing, keep chasing, and I have no doubt at some stage we’re going to get there.”
While Mercedes is the dominant team, Hamilton looms in case either George Russell or Kimi Antonelli slips up. If he keeps his current level, considering the randomness of F1, Hamilton will get his Ferrari.
