The Denver Broncos will be without their star quarterback on Friday in their first preseason game of 2026: Bo Nix won't play in this contest.
As you'll recall, Nix broke his ankle in the NFL playoffs in January and after undergoing surgery, he'll miss this game. But as head coach Sean Payton noted, via The Athletic, Nix is on track for his comeback to the field and the QB will play in the next two preseason games.
There's no reason to worry, with Payton adding that if it was a regular-season game, it would be a different story and that Nix would play.
That would be Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger.
Yes. Payton said it'll be for about 15 plays.
