Norway made the shocking decision to pull World Cup breakout star Erling Haaland during extra time of its quarterfinal match against England on Saturday in Miami.

Why in the world did they do that?

Haaland left the game after the extra time break for Norway, which just doesn't make any sense at all with the team needing the equalizer to stay alive in the World Cup. Was he hurt? Was this a coaching decision?

We're guessing this will come up in the postgame press conference. This is the most bizarre subbing decision in the 2026 World Cup, bar none. Geez.

We are very curious what the answer is from Norway on this.

How about some Haaland memes while we're here?
