Kendrick Nunn had a rough conclusion to the Greek League Finals on Saturday.
Late in third quarter of Game 5, the former NBA guard who now plays for Panathinaikos fouled an Olympiacos player then accused him of flopping, according to Eurohoops. That prompted Olympiacos' Tyrique Jones to retaliate by going head-to-head with Nunn before shoving him by the throat.
Both players were ejected as Olympiacos eventually won 89-85, marking its 16th Greek League title and fourth in the last five years.
The championship didn't distract Jones from his rage toward Nunn, however. After the game, Jones found Nunn in the locker room corridor, where he broke free from several security officials to deliver a vicious right-handed punch.
Nunn played three seasons in the NBA with the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards. With the Heat, he finished second behind Ja Morant in Rookie of the Year voting and had a solid second season, but it all went downhill from there. Nunn missed the entire 2020-21 campaign with a bone bruise in his knee, and he went on to start only four more games the rest of his NBA career. He joined the GBL in 2023.
Jones went to Xavier before playing internationally for the entirety of his professional career. This was his first season in the GBL.
That's the belief, according to Eurohoops.
