Here's something you might be wondering about with Bosnia and Herzegovina making it to the Round of 32 in the 2026 World Cup: Shouldn't the European nation be listed as BAH and not as BIH? That confused a bunch of fans watching them at the 2026 World Cup.
That's the way they're listed because of what's known as their ISO alpha-3 code that are used internationally. But if you write out Bosnia and Herzegovina in the local languages, it's actually Bosnia i Herzegovina, so the abbreviation is more accurate as BIH.
