Ty Gibbs got his first NASCAR Cup Series victory on April 12 by winning the Bristol NASCAR race in overtime.
Gibbs, 23, is the grandson of Joe Gibbs, owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. It was Ty Gibbs' 131st career start.
Gibbs, who led for 25 laps, had been close to winning all season. He had three top-4 finishes and one top-5 in the first seven races.
Ryan Blaney, who led for 190 laps, was second, Kyle Larson, who led the most laps at 284, was third, Tyler Reddick was fourth, and Chase Briscoe was fifth in the Food City 500.
