After a late pit stop, Shane van Gisbergen chased down the field in the NASCAR Watkins Glen race and claimed his seventh career Cup victory on May 10 in the Go Bowling at the Glen road course.
It was his first win of the 2026 season
After falling to the back of the field, van Gisbergen made up 29.2 seconds on 18 laps to retake the lead from Ty Gibbs with six laps left. Van Gisbergen won in 7.5 seconds.
It was the first win of the season for Trackhouse Racing.
Van Gisbergan led 74 laps, a race high. Michael McDowell finished second, and Ty Gibbs, who led for 17 laps, was third.
