The 2025 NFL Draft concluded, and the Steelers walked away with an impressive haul — as did the Seahawks. With that in mind, it's time to answer the question: who won the DK Metcalf trade?

The trade details are as follows: Pittsburgh received Metcalf and pick No. 185, while Seattle acquired picks No. 52 and No. 223.

The Steelers would turn the 185th overall pick into 2024 National Champion, Ohio State QB Will Howard. The Seahawks packaged pick No. 52 from the Metcalf trade — along with their original third-round pick (No. 82 overall) — to move up and select standout South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori at pick No. 35. Seattle’s final piece of the trade, pick No. 223 in the seventh round, was used on Miami RB Damien Martinez — a solid Day 3 addition.

In the end, the trade results — Metcalf and Howard for Emmanwori and Martinez — may speak for themselves, depending on which of the three draft prospects, if not all, develop into long-term starters. As of now, however, it seems the Steelers were the clear winners over the Seahawks.
