It took a bit of help, but the Wisconsin Badgers men's hockey team has officially made the NCAA Tournament.
Wisconsin learned its fate over the weekend when Dartmouth defeated Princeton, 2-1, in an overtime thriller to decide the ECAC Champion.
The selection Sunday show unveiled Wisconsin would be in the Worcester Regional with No. 1 Michigan State.
Thankfully for the Badgers, they don't have to play the Spartans right out of the gate. Wisconsin will take on the aforementioned Dartmouth squad, one that has Hayden Stavroff, the nation's leading scorer with 29 goals.
Keep in mind, Dartmouth just played on March 21, while the Badgers' early exit from the Big Ten tournament means they haven't played since March 11.
Michigan State will take on UConn in the top half of the Worcester Regional. Both regional semifinal games are set to take place on March 26.
Should Wisconsin emerge victorious over Dartmouth, it would then play either the Spartans or Huskies in the regional finals on March 28.
The men's Frozen Four begins on April 9 and commences on the 11th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
