The exciting thing looking at next year's roster is that it probably doesn't matter who starts, as they've got enough depth to rotate fresh players in and out and use players in situations that fit their strengths and minimize exposure to their weaknesses. Get Calais Campbell out there on early downs where he's great as a run defender and then once it's 3rd and long you put in Walter Nolen to rush the passer. Yes, please!

Calais was an above average starter, and has graded out better than all our starters for many years. I don't know how he's not starting over Stills or Jones. Other than that, I like Solar hope either Robinson or Nolen supplants either Stills or Jones.

In a perfect world Robinson and Nolan unseat both

I would like CC in for a series at a time because he provides excellent interior pass rush and has to have the most career batted balls in nfl history.
3 and out he gets the next series off. No more than 6 consecutive plays on the field.
CC should start IMO.

Yeah, totally agreed. I would imagine they will by midseason, but be very featured in the rotation. "Starter" will probably be a bit of a misnomer with all of the rotations, with a relatively equal snap share at first.
Actually hoping the other kid from Denver can unseat Collins too

According to this depth chart (which is for discussion purposes only):

It's Sweat (LDE), Nolan (LDT), Tomlinson (RDT), and Justin Jones (RDE)

2nd string is

Collins, Campbell, Stille, and Robinson

Based on this we are a 4-3 now?

Royce Newman is penciled in at RG?

Who is he?

Why is he in front of Adams?

I 100% forgot about Campbell. He’ll start ahead of Jones for sure.

Robinson and Nolen might start in passing down situations to begin the season.

I 100% promise you the posters here have thought about this more than whoever put that together

Because CC will be on a snap count of about 30-35 a game.

Sweat, Tomlinson, CC and Robinson will be official starters IMO.

But multiple different fronts with rotation, so who’s is “starting” is not as relevant as snap count.

I think Sweat will see around 60%. He had 59% in Philly last year.

Tomlinson and Jones are the anchors that by default get most snaps, so expect around 60% for both of them.

Very unusual that rookie DTs get more than 50%, so 45% for Nolan and 45% is probably the right amount for an aging CC.
