Fleming, 6-foot-9, 240, went to Saint Joseph's, where he averaged 14.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per game last season. He shot 53.1% from the field and 39% from 3-point range.
A native of Camden, New Jersey, Fleming played three seasons for the Hawks.
Many thought that Fleming would go in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft, including the Suns, who had him high on their draft board.
USA TODAY Sports had him going to the Orlando Magic at No. 25 in its final NBA mock draft for the first round.
It wrote of Fleming: "Fleming is a mobile forward who plays a physical game and has strong footwork to finesse his way around defenders. He likes to get easy buckets in transition, his 3-point percentage in nearly five attempts per game is encouraging and he is valuable in pick-and-rolls as the screener. Defensively, he deflects passes and can protect the rim. Fleming averaged 18.8 points and 7.7 rebounds and shot 58.9% in the last six regular-season Atlantic 10 Conference contests."

The Suns had to do some work to acquire Fleming.
After trading to acquire the No. 36 pick in the second round with the Brooklyn Nets (Phoenix gave up two future first-round picks), the Suns acquired the No. 31 pick by giving the Minnesota Timberwolves the No. 36 pick and two future second-round selections.
Many NBA writers have raved about Fleming's potential, including ESPN draft expert Jonathan Givony.
He wrote this about the power forward: "There's a premium on length, shooting and potential defensive versatility in the NBA, and Fleming could bring all three to a team with the patience to develop his awareness and technique defensively while the game hopefully slows down for him offensively. He struggled badly late in the season, but his relative youth and trajectory at St. Joseph's leaves room for optimism about his potential."
