Jordan Walker defied all odds Monday night.

Against the backdrop of a hostile Philadelphia crowd, the St. Louis Cardinals slugger came through in the clutch and defeated Phillies' hometown favorite Kyle Schwarber in the final round to win the 2026 MLB Home Run Derby.

Schwarber smashed 11 home runs in the final round, but Walker, with just about all the Citizens Bank Park fans in attendance booing him, knocked 12 home runs to win the title.

Jordan Walker is one of MLB's biggest young stars​

Walker, who is 24 years old, was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals with the 21st overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft out of Decatur High School in Georgia.

Walker was the Cardinals' top prospect and one of the highest-rated prospects in baseball at the time he made his major league debut in 2023, per MLB.com.

Walker is enjoying a breakout 2026, hitting .294 with 22 home runs and an MLB-leading 74 RBI. He also has 13 stolen bases.
