We have beat teams we are suppose to beat.

And lose to good teams.

4-0 against bad teams this year.

I am surprised so many people are so quick to disregard the Seahawks already. While they have finished their most difficult part of the season we are yet to play ours.

We still have to play @ St Louis. GB, Cinci, Sea x2, @ Phi in more than likely not poor conditions. Even @ Cleveland will be a hard game this year.

We could very well be tied after 4 games. But people have short memories despite the finishes the last two years. The division isn't ours until we can start beating good teams. And until Seattle is statically out of it.

If, if's and butt's were candy and nuts.

Playing the "We could easily....." game, I could say we could be easily 6-0.

We've beaten 4 NFL teams. I don't give a crap about records. This is the NFL as evidenced yesterday.

Yes but I think that goes for every team. Just look at Seattle. Had their Offense just converted one more first down in any of their losses they likely win. Or their defense makes one more stop.

Same thing last year. If Palmer was healthy. I hate the if game (Guilty of playing it myself yesterday)

But I am just disappointed we haven't been able to beat teams that are better than bad this year.

Winning cures everything and I am sure a win this week will have everyone feeling good. But we have a very tough schedule coming up shortly.

Who is disregarding the Seahawks? We can't disregard anyone, any weekend, especially NFC West teams - who will play us tight regardless of win-lose record.

We do not look dominate and we still have a looooong way to go in the season.

I saw a lot of people already handing us the division with the Hawks losing again yesterday. Wouldn't surprise me with the way the schedule shakes out if we're tied after the Sunday Night game up there in a month.

Is everything
outside of our game, they've scored 10, 6 and 10 points in their last three. That ain't a good team.

The Cards seem wildly inconsistent and appear capable of going on a long losing streak. I'm not sure anymore that we are much better than Seattle or St. Louis honestly.

it's definitely up for debate. they've had the cupcake-y-ist schedule of all time so far... and they're 4-2. that's beyond disappointing. Even at 5-1, I'd still probably be super gun ho, but to lose both times to the only teams we played with a pulse and look so ugly doing it has curbed my enthusiasm considerably.

I am not seeing people writing off anyone. Happy the Hags lost yesterday for sure. They blew that game in a big way. Cardinals haven't come close to winning a damn thing yet. I believe most here are concerned. I mean Landry Jones????

Who do you see us losing to in that stretch? Baltimore or Cleveland?

I wonder how many times were going to hear " this game will tell us a lot about this team " this year?!?!?

Baltimore is the dregs of the league... we handle those teams. I worry about Cleveland. They've played everyone tough so far and it's a roadie in probably inclement weather.

Great teams don't beat themselves so that's not saying much

Well then you got my point :)

Seriously, we blow a bad team out on the road, get cocky and lose the next one. Mistakes killed us in both of our losses, good teams don't do that. We need to figure out how to be ready to play sharp week in and week out if we want to be contenders. Hopefully we get it together for MNF. Losing the Ravens would be embarrassing.

You do realize Jones was one of the best passers in OU history right? He's also in his 3rd in that system I believe while Vick is in his first Vick has always been a mediocre passer who's completion % has been terrible.

Bottom line is the worst case scenario IMO played out & Vick got hurt, they had no shot with him being the QB. The Stealers were scared to throw & risk the game with Vick throwing the ball.

Yeah Landry will be a good QB for all we know he already is. Been there in that offense for 3 years learning from Ben. If Tomlin was the genius some make him out to be Landry would have been starting over Vick anyway, since he is a better QB at this point, and clearly has a better grasp of Haleys system. Like you said they got lucky Vick got hurt or he surely would have handed us some turnovers with his pathetic throwing ability!

And yet Denver & Cincy have rolled up wins against bad records as well. Personally I don't think those 2 teams are much/if any better off (total team personnel) than our Redbirds. Each of those teams could be 4-2 as well given a couple of different plays happen for or against & we could be 6-0 with the same.

Don't you know, only the games we win are a test of the team, the losses are on the officials, or someone else's fault.

If we just would have converted all our red zone opportunities we'd be 6-0, we're elite.

Cincy aces the eyeball test and have had a few impressive wins. They are in the elite group IMHO.

Lots of teams pass the "eyeball test" in September and October and do squat in the playoffs. Other teams look like also rans at this time of year, get hot enough to get in, peak in the playoffs and run the table.

Patience all... get in the playoffs first.
