The NFC South is one of the NFL's youngest divisions, having been founded back in 2002 during the last wave of NFL realignment. That move lumped the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons in with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers, creating some unique dynamics -- and a couple of intense rivalries. We'll be taking a look at the division's top-10 leading passers, rushers, receivers and defenders to see how the Saints' best players stack up against their competition.

And we're starting with the quarterbacks. You already know Drew Brees is in first place, but the other teams' struggles to find consistent quarterback play means there are some surprises up and down the list. Of the ten quarterbacks, only one is still active with their team: Baker Mayfield, who could climb from ninth to sixth and leap ahead of Tom Brady by throwing for 2,406 yards this year. Mayfield is also entering a contract year, so if the Bucs can't work out a long-term extension, he could be on the move, too.

Our list only includes stats from 2002 to 2025, and it's limited to the time each player spent with teams in the NFC South. Performance on other teams outside the division or seasons dating back before 2002 don't count. Let's dig in.
