Some of the top high school boys golf players and teams kept their postseason dreams alive during the IHSAA boys golf sectionals.
Here are the sectional results from the Indy area, including the golfers that advanced to regionals.
Guerin Catholic won the sectional title with a 284. Carmel followed with a 287, while Westfield (289) beat out Zionsville (298) for the third qualifying spot.
The Eagles were led by medalist Max Steiner (67). Noah Johnson (68) led Carmel, Eli Wessel (68) paced Guerin Catholic and Hudson Kutchma (70) topped Westfield. Myles Ray (Guerin Catholic), Keaton Knott (Westfield) and Alex Gardner (Carmel) all shot a 71 for fifth place. Steiner, Lebanon’s Harper Brown (73) and Zionsville’s Kilian Laughlin (75) advanced as individuals.

Brebeuf Jesuit secured the sectional crown with a score of 300. Covenant Christian followed with a 317. Speedway (320) won a tiebreaker over Pike for third place.
Edison Armbrester took medalist honors with a 72. Brebeuf Jesuit’s Luke Blanchard and Speedway’s Michael Broida both shot a 74. They were followed by Will Peterson (75) and Clayton Price (75) from Brebeuf Jesuit. Armbrester, Decatur Central’s Julien Russell (74) and Pike’s Kellen Eder (79) advanced as individuals.

Plainfield (303) took home the sectional title with three shots over Brownsburg (306). Greencastle (323) rounded out the top three.
Brownsburg’s Thomas Banich won a playoff over Plainfield’s Penn Pearson for the top medal. Greencastle’s Ben Zellers (75) won his own playoff. Brownsburg’s Zach Forgrave (75) and Plainfield’s Zach Daum (75) placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Individuals to advance were Avon’s Lucas Denson (76), Martinsville’s Liam Ralph (78) and Mooresville’s Mason McMahan (81).

Bishop Chatard’s Charlie Belch earned top medalist honors with a 1-under-par 71. Cathedral’s Johnny Leamon and Park Tudor’s Hudson Messer both shot a 73. Andrew Dunlap (75) and Ben Kauffman (75) rounded out the top five. Belch, Messer and Bishop Chatard’s Ben Bowling (82) all advanced as individuals.

HSE’s Mattingly Upchurch (70) won a playoff over Pendleton’s Hayden Fox to win medalist honors. Noblesville’s Jackson Mahan and Frankton’s Isaac Fair both shot a 72. Noblesville’s Tyler Marucci and Fishers’ Evan Back each shot a 73 and rounded out the top five. Back and teammate Kaiden Sullivan (75) advanced as individuals. Fair also advanced.

Shenandoah’s Grady Drysdale (76), New Castle’s Elijah Blankinship (77) and Greenfield-Central’s McCoy Wilson (77) all advanced as individuals.
