Some of the top high school boys golf players and teams kept their postseason dreams alive during the IHSAA boys golf sectionals.

Here are the sectional results from the Indy area, including the golfers that advanced to regionals.

At Ulen Golf and Country Club at Westfield​

Guerin Catholic won the sectional title with a 284. Carmel followed with a 287, while Westfield (289) beat out Zionsville (298) for the third qualifying spot.

The Eagles were led by medalist Max Steiner (67). Noah Johnson (68) led Carmel, Eli Wessel (68) paced Guerin Catholic and Hudson Kutchma (70) topped Westfield. Myles Ray (Guerin Catholic), Keaton Knott (Westfield) and Alex Gardner (Carmel) all shot a 71 for fifth place. Steiner, Lebanon’s Harper Brown (73) and Zionsville’s Kilian Laughlin (75) advanced as individuals.

Teams advancing:

Guerin Catholic (284): Eli Wessel (68), Brady Wagner (73), Andrew Williamson (72), Myles Ray (71), Cooper Howard (79)

Carmel (287): Noah Johnson (68), Alex Gardner (71), Patrick Wolf (74), Preston Roberts (77), Ben Wilson (74)

Westfield (289): Ryan Cesare (75), Hudson Kutchma (70), Mitchell Keene (75), Brayden Worthington (73), Keaton Knott (71)

At Winding River at Decatur Central​

Brebeuf Jesuit secured the sectional crown with a score of 300. Covenant Christian followed with a 317. Speedway (320) won a tiebreaker over Pike for third place.

Edison Armbrester took medalist honors with a 72. Brebeuf Jesuit’s Luke Blanchard and Speedway’s Michael Broida both shot a 74. They were followed by Will Peterson (75) and Clayton Price (75) from Brebeuf Jesuit. Armbrester, Decatur Central’s Julien Russell (74) and Pike’s Kellen Eder (79) advanced as individuals.

Brebeuf Jesuit (300): Graham Klezmer (76), Will Peterson (75), Charlie Schaefer (77), Clayton Price (75), Luke Blanchard (74)

Covenant Christian (317): Connor Clark (79), Andrew Herbert (79), Mason Stephens (81), Caleb Faris (84), Brayden Mansard (78)

Speedway (320): Michael Broida (74), A.J. Lund (78), Cooper Eller (87), Reece Kluemper (83), Joey Heaviland (85)

At Foxcliff Golf Course at Martinsville​

Plainfield (303) took home the sectional title with three shots over Brownsburg (306). Greencastle (323) rounded out the top three.

Brownsburg’s Thomas Banich won a playoff over Plainfield’s Penn Pearson for the top medal. Greencastle’s Ben Zellers (75) won his own playoff. Brownsburg’s Zach Forgrave (75) and Plainfield’s Zach Daum (75) placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Individuals to advance were Avon’s Lucas Denson (76), Martinsville’s Liam Ralph (78) and Mooresville’s Mason McMahan (81).

At Maple Creek Golf Club at Cathedral​

Cathedral shot a 300 to clinch the sectional title by 20 shots over second-place North Central (320). Third-place Heritage Christian shot a 321 to advance to regionals.

Bishop Chatard’s Charlie Belch earned top medalist honors with a 1-under-par 71. Cathedral’s Johnny Leamon and Park Tudor’s Hudson Messer both shot a 73. Andrew Dunlap (75) and Ben Kauffman (75) rounded out the top five. Belch, Messer and Bishop Chatard’s Ben Bowling (82) all advanced as individuals.

At Fox Prairie Golf Club at Noblesville​

Noblesville (296) won a tiebreaker over Hamilton Southeastern (296) for the sectional title. Pendleton Heights (297) rounded out the top three.

HSE’s Mattingly Upchurch (70) won a playoff over Pendleton’s Hayden Fox to win medalist honors. Noblesville’s Jackson Mahan and Frankton’s Isaac Fair both shot a 72. Noblesville’s Tyler Marucci and Fishers’ Evan Back each shot a 73 and rounded out the top five. Back and teammate Kaiden Sullivan (75) advanced as individuals. Fair also advanced.

At Hawk’s Tail of Greenfield at Greenfield​

Sectional champion New Palestine shot a 302, seven shots better than second-place Eastern Hancock (309). Mt. Vernon followed with a 311.

Eastern Hancock’s Parker Atkins clinched medalist honors with a 68. Elijah Lemmon paced Mt. Vernon with a 71. New Palestine’s Cooper Hurst and Eastern Hancock’s Zach Stephens both went 74. New Palestine’s William Clark (75) rounded out the top five. Shenandoah’s Grady Drysdale (76), New Castle’s Elijah Blankinship (77) and Greenfield-Central’s McCoy Wilson (77) all advanced as individuals.

At The Legends Golf Club at Franklin Community​

Center Grove (295) took home the sectional title. Franklin (305) placed second, while Roncalli (311) placed third.

Center Grove’s Jake Hardin (69) was the top medalist, while Franklin's Abe Botkin (72) placed second. Roncalli’s Sam Eckhart (74) rounded out the top three. Franklin Central’s Bryce Tierney (77), Whiteland’s Will Smith (77) and Perry Meridian’s Jacob Mercer (79) advanced as individuals.

Teams advancing:

Center Grove (295): Nathan Springer (76), Drew Carlson (79), Jake Hardin (69), Gabe Baxter (75), Louie Teed (75)

Franklin (305): Matthew Ferguson (75), Abe Botkin (72), Riley McNicholas (79), Carson Morse (84), Jack Lock (79)

Roncalli (311): Kolton Bertram (79), Sam Eckhart (74), Jagger Rund (79), Gabe Sulit (79), Jimmy Kessennich (90)

>>>At Greensburg, Shelbyville's team placed third (334) behind Batesville and Columbus North to advance. Waldron's Blake Bryant fired a 79 to advance to the regional as an individual.

>>>At Attica, Tri-West won the sectional title with a score of 327. The Bruins' Caden Murphy fired a 76 to earn medalist honors. Along with Murphy, Tri-West was led by Blake Woodard (82), Kruz Bear (85), Eric Dean (84) and Landon Lowery (85).
