While the Oregon Ducks are knee-deep in preparation for the College Football Playoff quarterfinals against the Texas Tech Red Raiders on New Year's Day, rosters are being formed for the 2026 season across the college football landscape, and players are making decisions about what to do with their futures.
For many, this means deciding between an early declaration for the 2026 NFL draft or a return to school for one more year.
The Ducks have a number of players trying to make that decision this year, with several guys possessing Day 1 or Day 2 draft grades, should they choose to jump to the pros. So far, we've already seen a couple of guys announce their intentions to return for another year, while more are bound to make their decisions in the near future.
Here's a look at what we know so far, and who we are still waiting to hear from over the next few weeks.
So far, no players with remaining eligibility for the 2026 season have announced that they will forego their final year with the Ducks in order to enter the 2026 NFL draft.
Oregon Ducks All-American center Iapani Laloulu announced that he would be coming back for his senior season, which is a massive development for the Ducks and their offensive line. Laloulu was a finalist for the Remington Trophy this year, given to the best center in the nation, and should be among the favorites to win it in 2026.
On the defensive side of the ball, Oregon got huge news with the announced return of defensive tackle Bear Alexander, who had a career year in his first season in Eugene after transferring from USC. With another solid year of production under his belt, Alexander could be in the conversation for a Day 1 or Day 2 draft selection next year.
