A new men’s college basketball champion will be crowned tonight when the Michigan Wolverines face the UConn Huskies at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Top-seeded Michigan is the favorite, especially after dominating the very formidable No. 1 Arizona 91-73 in the Final Four. The Wolverines haven’t come close to losing this tournament, winning every game by 13 points or more. Michigan is chasing the program’s first national title since 1989.
But standing between Michigan and the national trophy is a team that has dominated the postseason in recent years. UConn is after its third championship in four years and seventh overall, which would put coach Dan Hurley in dynasty discussion. The Huskies secured their spot in the championship with an 84-70 win against Illinois.
