LeBron James has the eyes of the NBA world on him.
In many ways, it's remarkable. He's 41 years old. Pretty much every player in the history of the league would be retired by now.
But not only is LeBron not retired -- he's still in demand.
A free agent from the Los Angeles Lakers, James has a lot of suitors. He hasn't signed with anyone yet, though.
And so the basketball world waits on to see what LeBron might do.

Where is LeBron James going?
So far, the NBA doesn't yet know LeBron's free agent destination. There are a lot of teams that want him for the 2026-27 season, but James has yet to make his preference clear.
The Lakers seem to be out of the running for a potential return.
Among the notably interested teams are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves.
There are likely a few other teams considered to be in the running, as well.

Why hasn't LeBron signed with a team yet?
James is clearly taking his time. He's posting videos on social media that show he doesn't have a care in the world.
At this point in his career, there's zero incentive to rush.
James knows that these teams will wait for him, so he can assess his options fully before committing.
This could be the last team LeBron ever joins. He's taking his time to make sure he gets it right.
