The Minnesota Timberwolves aren't necessarily the glamorous destination that some of LeBron James' other free agent suitors might be.
Despite that, the rumors aren't going away. It seems the Timberwolves are at least in the discussion, even if they're on the outskirts.
From a team perspective, LeBron would be a great add. He'd be the power forward in a starting lineup of LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, James and Rudy Gobert.

Maybe he wouldn't love Minnesota winters, but he's from Akron, Ohio, not Florida. He's got winter coats if he needs them.
And there'd be something to be said for playing with Ball and Edwards. It would be a great trio of playmakers.
The Western Conference is tough, with the Thunder and Spurs, but the Wolves would be right in contention if they landed King James.

Can the Timberwolves sign LeBron James?
The door is still open.
The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski reported Monday that even after Rui Hachimura signed with the Clippers, the Timberwolves can still be considered in the LeBron race:
James would solve the one need the Timberwolves have in an offseason that they traded away Julius Randle and Naz Reid.
That doesn't mean it'll happen, but until LeBron signs elsewhere, it's worth considering.
