The Miami Dolphins locked down their second of three building blocks on Wednesday, as they signed offensive lineman Aaron Brewer to a three-year extension that will pay him $52.5 million with $37.5 million guaranteed.
Brewer was set to enter the final year of the three-year deal he signed with Miami back in 2024 and is coming off of his first All-Pro season of his career.
Where does this new extension put him among the highest-paid centers in the league?
In terms of average annual value, his new deal is $17.5 million per year. That's the third-most behind Las Vegas Raiders center Tyler Linderbaum ($27 million) and Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey ($18 million). He's just ahead of Philadelphia Eagles center Cam Jurgens ($17 million), who has made two Pro Bowls and has won a Super Bowl in his four years in the league.
Brewer's $37.5 million guaranteed is the second-most just behind Linderbaum's $60 million. As for total value, the deal is actually fifth behind Linderbaum ($81 million), Humphrey ($72 million), Jurgens ($68 million) and New Orleans Saints' Erik McCoy ($60 million).
