The Baltimore Ravens have begun retooling the roster and coaching staff after hiring Jesse Minter as their new head coach following an 8-9 season, and a disappointing finish for a team that held Super Bowl aspirations last July. Minter brings a high level of defensive acumen and should help ease Ravens fans' frustrations over the loss of Mike MacDonald two years ago.

With the new league year quickly approaching, Nick Shook of NFL.com ranked all 63 quarterbacks who started a game last season by tier. Baltimore had three quarterbacks make the list, led by Lamar Jackson, Cooper Rush, and Tyler Huntley.

Huntley landed at No. 42 on the list.

Tyler Huntley should have been the backup to Lamar Jackson all along. He won both of his starts -- including a crucial Week 17 game at Lambeau Field -- and proved his experience in Baltimore was beneficial to the Ravens. We'll see if new coach Jesse Minter thinks similarly.

Huntley replaced Rush against the Rams, going 10-of-15 for 68 yards passing and 23 yards rushing. Overall, Huntley maximized his opportunities and set himself up for a return in 2026 after he went 52 of 67 attempts for 426 yards and two touchdowns across five appearances.

Huntley played a key role in keeping Baltimore's season afloat while Jackson missed multiple games due to various ailments. He was cut by Cleveland in August and joined Baltimore's practice squad. The Ravens signed Cooper Rush as the new backup during the offseason, and when Lamar Jackson went down with a hamstring injury against the Chiefs, Baltimore initially turned to Rush, who finished that game and started against the Texans and the Rams.
