A lot has changed on the recruiting trail over the last few weeks for many, especially the ClemsonTigers. Schools around the country are bringing top targets to campus for official visits, commitments are starting to come in at a faster pace and recruiting rankings are getting reshuffled along the way.
Despite all of that movement, Clemson’s 2027 class remains in a strong spot nationally.
The Tigers caught fire on the recruiting trail earlier this spring, putting together one of the more impressive stretches of commitments in the country. That run helped Clemson build a cushion in the rankings, and even as programs like Georgia, Florida and Kentucky have generated momentum of their own, Dabo Swinney’s program continues to hold its ground.
According to the latest Rivals industry composite rankings, Clemson checks in at No. 11 nationally. Only Miami sits ahead of the Tigers in the ACC, with the Hurricanes holding the No. 2 spot. Virginia Tech is the conference’s next-highest ranked program at No. 17.
The Tigers are even higher in the 247Sports team rankings. Clemson currently owns the No. 7 class in the country, giving the program another top-10 ranking heading into a busy stretch of the summer. Miami is ranked No. 3 nationally, while Virginia Tech comes in at No. 6.
With 22 commitments already in the fold, Clemson has put itself in a favorable position heading into the next wave of official visits. The Tigers aren’t finished either, as another important recruiting weekend begins June 12 with several targets expected on campus.
There is still plenty of time for the rankings to change. Summer commitments always create movement, and some of the nation’s top programs are just starting to gain traction. But after the run Clemson put together earlier this cycle, the Tigers remain right where they have been for months, in the mix with many of the country’s top recruiting classes.
