Clemsonfootball’s recruiting momentum continued late Friday night with another major pickup in the 2027 class.
Four-star defensive end Santana Harvey announced his commitment to the Tigers, giving Dabo Swinney and his staff another win during a busy official visit weekend. The Lakeland, Florida product chose Clemson over a strong group of contenders that included Notre Dame, Florida State and Georgia Tech.
Harvey becomes the second prospect to commit to Clemson during the official visit weekend and the eighth overall to join the class since last Monday. He is now the Tigers’ 15th verbal pledge in the 2027 cycle, a group that currently sits inside the top 15 nationally.
Harvey is rated as one of the top edge defenders in the class. The 6-foot-3 defender put together an impressive junior season, recording 20 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery. 247Sports ranks him No. 132 nationally and No. 15 among edge rushers in the 2027 cycle.
He becomes Clemson’s first defensive end commitment in the class and the second defensive lineman overall, joining Jaden Wuerth. Harvey also joins three-star receiver Julian Cromartie as the latest prospects to announce commitments since the start of the Tigers’ official visit stretch.
Clemson has been on a tear on the recruiting trail, and Harvey’s pledge adds another high-upside defensive piece to a class that continues to build momentum heading into the summer.
