In less than two months, the FIFA 2026 World Cup will kick off (literally) with over 100 matches scheduled in cities across the country, including Philadelphia.

Here's a refresher on what teams are playing in the city, when and where.

When is FIFA World Cup 2026?​


The World Cup starts on Thursday, June 11, with two matches.

Mexico will play South Africa at Mexico City Stadium, and The Korea Republic will play Czechia at Estadio Guadalajara.

Games will run through Sunday, July 19, where the final is set to take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

When does FIFA play in Philly? When are FIFA World Cup games in Philadelphia?​


The first FIFA game scheduled in Philadelphia will be Sunday, June 14 between Côte d'Ivoire and Ecuador (Group E).

Games will take place at Lincoln Financial Field, which will be renamed "Philadelphia Stadium" for the events.

Other games will be played as follows:

  • Friday, June 19 - Brazil v. Haiti (Group C).
  • Monday, June 22 - France v. Iraq (Group I).
  • Thursday, June 25 - Curaçao v Côte d'Ivoire (Group E).
  • Saturday, June 27 - Croatia v. Ghana (Group L).
  • Saturday, July 4 - Match 89 (Match 74 winner v. Match 77 winner)

Where is Lincoln Financial Field? Where is FIFA's Philadelphia Stadium?​


The Linc is located in the city's stadium district off of Pattison Ave and 11th St.
