The Pittsburgh Pirates are paging Dr. Robby — and 20,000 fans.
As part of Yinzerpalooza weekend in July, the baseball team is collaborating with HBO Max to create a one-of-a-kind bobblehead inspired by the network's Pittsburgh-based, Emmy Award-winning medical drama "The Pitt," CBS News reported.
The Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch bobblehead will go to thousands of fans this summer.
Here's when and how to get it.
Dr. Robby bobbleheads will go to the first 20,000 fans at the Pittsburgh Pirates' game against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday, July 25, according to social media posts by the Pirates.
The Pittsburgh Pirates Dr. Robby bobblehead was not available for purchase online following the team's announcement, meaning the best chance to get one is at the July 25 game against the Cubs.
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced the bobblehead giveaway on social media the morning of May 21 with a picture of the figurine, saying in a post to X, "Dr. Robby will see you now."
The team also posted a "The Pitt"-inspired video, featuring shots around Pittsburgh and text marking the hours before a Pirates game in the style of the show.
In the comments under the announcement, fans expressed their disappointment, questioning why the character was chosen.
"Has there ever been an ANDY WARHOL?" said user @shoresidesavage
"Really??? How about Rick Sebak? Seriously," said user @CARX3_USMC.
But across social media, others expressed their excitement over the miniature version of the beloved character.
"(P)eople are so mad at this but I genuinely need one of these," user @hannahk_2019 said, reposting the video announcement.
"(U)gh pls make this an everyone in attendance I don't wanna go 5 hours early but I neeeeed it," user @PiratesSign said.
Yinzerpalooza, an annual weekend celebrating all things Pittsburgh, will take place Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26. All three games over the course of the weekend will be played against the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park.
There will be a free t-shirt giveaway for the first 20,000 fans during the July 24 game, and kids 14 and under can take home a Daniel Tiger plush during the July 26 game.
Tickets are available to purchase on MLB's website now.
