What will the Washington Commanders do with the No. 7 overall pick in next week's 2026 NFL Draft? What should the Commanders do?
That question was posed to star wide receiver Terry McLaurin. As a guest on the "Built Different Podcast" this week, McLaurin discussed his faith, the impact of God in his life, and more.
There was a little football talk, too.
So, what should Washington do at No. 7?
"I think we're in a very unique situation, I think we could go best player available," McLaurin said. "We've done a really good job in free agency so far. When you get that top-10 pick, I think another receiver, (Notre Dame RB) Jeremiyah Love, there's some great Buckeye defensive players, as well. I think we'll probably go best player available."
That's a fair answer from McLaurin. Obviously, he doesn't know what Washington will do, but the Commanders have been linked to four different Ohio State players throughout the draft process. Ohio State is McLaurin's alma mater. Safety Caleb Downs, linebacker Sonny Styles, edge/linebacker Arvell Reese and wide receiver Carnell Tate are all possibilities for Washington. Of the group, Tate would be the most interesting because of the Commanders' need at wide receiver opposite McLaurin.
