Hey, all. My apologies for not being super active over the past few days. I’ve been a bit under the weather and, honestly, there hasn’t been a whole lot to talk about in the way of news from our favorite football team. Since we’re getting more into the “community discussion” phase of the offseason while we wait for training camp to get underway in late July. . .only two more months. . .I thought I’d open up the floor for a discussion on a topic.

I was curious as to which Minnesota Vikings game from last season was everyone’s favorite.

I know that it was a pretty up-and-down year for our favorite squad so there may not be a lot to choose from, but there were a few. Personally, my choice is the Week 9 matchup at Ford Field between our squad and the Detroit Lions.

The expectations for the Vikings were not exceedingly high going into this one. The Vikings were coming off two straight losses, including the Thursday Night Football debacle against the Los Angeles Chargers where Carson Wentz damn near died. Well, not died, per se, but absolutely got the hell beaten out of him for four quarters and wound up going on IR shortly afterwards.

J.J. McCarthy returned to the starting lineup for the Vikings following the high ankle sprain he suffered back in Week 2 and had a decent enough overall performance, completing 14-of-25 passes for 143 yards, a pair of touchdowns, and an interception. He also added a rushing touchdown and sealed the victory late with a beautiful throw to Jalen Nailor on a 3rd-and-5 with less than two minutes remaining to allow the Vikings to run out the clock and take home a 27-24 victory.

Honestly, I enjoyed that one the most because, as someone who is online a lot more than he probably should be, the Lions fans on social media had been absolutely insufferable for months. They figured they were just going to show up, toss their helmets out on the field, and win this one by about 30. But, they couldn’t get the job done. Gotta say, it was awfully quiet on social media in the hours that followed. It was pretty nice, to be honest.

So, let’s hear it, folks. What was your favorite game from the Minnesota Vikings’ 2025 season?
