What was the Vikings best pick in the 2026 NFL Draft?

The 2026 NFL Draft has come and gone, and the draft class for the Minnesota Vikings left something to be desired, but it filled tons of holes on this roster. This was a defensive class, as the Vikings' first three picks and five of their nine total selections were on the defensive side of the ball.

There's some debate as to what was Minnesota's best pick, and one CBS Sports analyst thinks it came on day two.

Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports tabbed second-round pick, linebacker Jake Golday, as Minnesota's best pick from the draft. Media members applaud his sideline-to-sideline speed and ability to rush the passer, reminding some of Andrew Van Ginkel.

There's a pathway for Golday to see playing time early for the Vikings in 2026, and his playstyle does fit this Brian Flores defense, but Golday being the best pick from the draft is certainly debatable, to say the least.
