NEW YORK - There is always a James Dolan moment - even when his New York Knicks are being feted by New York City with a ticker-tape parade.
The executive chairman of Madison Square Garden and team's owner was in the awkward position Thursday of hearing New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani in his speech warmly greet Knicks legend Charles Oakley.
Oaklay in 2017 was escorted out of Madison Square Garden and briefly banned from the arena after clashing with Dolan - Oakley isn't banned anymore but he refuses to go to Knicks games until Dolan apologizes, which Dolan won't do.

“As a matter of fact, thank you for asking me that, we just did receive an invitation from the White House, which we accepted,” Dolan said during the appearance.
