Mexico is in an enviable position at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as it's already clinched Group A and now has a home match against a Czechia team that still has positioning to play for.
El Tri has been strong defensively and has yet to give up a goal in this World Cup, one of only four teams to have that distinction, along with Spain, Argentina and Ghana. That means Mexico has created a situation where this match doesn't matter for them and offers a chance to give some back-of-the-benchers World Cup experience.

Odds from BetMGM.com
Mexico-105, Czechia +270, Tie +260. Total goals over/under: 2 1/2
The site predicts that Mexico and Czechia will draw 1-1 in the 2026 World Cup.
Bill Speros writes: "Mexico are unbeaten in their last 26 internationals played on home soil — a run stretching back to October 2018. Estadio Azteca at night aggressively backing the host nation offers as intimidating an environment as this tournament offers in group play. The Czech Republic need a win to stay alive and will rotate heavily in the heat and altitude. Both of Mexico's wins have been low-scoring, disciplined affairs."
The site gives Mexico a 46.6% chance to win. It gives Czechia a 26.1% shot to win. It gives the match a 27.3% chance to end in a draw.
The site has Mexico earning a 1-0 win over Czechia in the World Cup match.
Drew Epperley writes: "Czechia presses but it's too little, too late."
The site predicts that Mexico will get a one-goal win over Czechia in their World Cup match on Wednesday.
