Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are set to take on Jalen Brunson and New York Knicks in the 2026 NBA Finals.
Game 1 of the NBA's final showdown is set for Wednesday, June 3.
The Knicks came out of the Eastern Conference after sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers over a dominant four-game stretch. It's the Knicks' first NBA Finals appearance since 1999. The Spurs, meanwhile, pulled away from the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder in a seven-game dogfight to win the Western Conference for the first time since 2014.
Here's how fans can tune in to Game 1.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals has a scheduled tipoff at 8:30 p.m. ET Wednesday, June 3.
The game will be televised nationally on ABC.
Unfortunately for DirecTV customers in Northeast Ohio, a carriage dispute could impact their ability to watch the game.
During the regular season, the Spurs and Knicks faced off twice, with a 1-1 split of that series.
The Spurs won the first matchup on Dec. 31 thanks to a 41-point fourth quarter netting them a 134-132 comeback victory. Spurs sharpshooter Julian Champagnie led the way by draining a stunning 11 3-pointers on 17 attempts, finishing with 36 points to go along with six rebounds.
The Knicks evened the score on March 1 with a 114-89 dismantling of the Spurs. Champagnie scored just three points in that game, by contrast, while Knicks stars Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges combined for 49 points for New York in the win.
These two teams also faced off in the NBA Cup Final on Dec. 16, which didn't count toward regular season records. The Knicks rallied in the fourth quarter to win that game and the NBA Cup over the Spurs.
Now, the Knicks will look to become the first team in NBA history to win both the NBA Cup and Larry O'Brien Trophy in the same season.
The ESPN/ABC broadcast crew for the NBA Finals will be Mike Breen (play-by-play), Tim Legler and Richard Jefferson (color analysts), along with sideline reporter Lisa Salters.
The NBA also announced a new Player Correspondent Program of young NBA talents and draft prospects creating content throughout the NBA Finals.
The NBA Finals will be broadcast exclusively on ABC with all games starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. All games can also be streamed on Fubo.
