Florida State baseball is hosting a regional for the third straight season, which secures a top-16 seed for the program in the NCAA Baseball Tournament.
While the Seminoles (38-17) know they are a top-16 team, the exact seed is yet to be revealed, and that could have a big impact on the program's postseason run. FSU will learn its seed and opponents in the NCAA Baseball selection show, which is slated for Noon on Monday, May 25.
The question for the Seminoles will be about earning a potential top-eight seed and getting an opportunity to host a super regional, should the program reach that round.
Under head coach Link Jarrett, FSU has hosted one super regional in 2024 when the team made it to Omaha and went on the road to Corvallis to face Oregon State in 2025 after earning a No. 9 seed.
FSU last played in the ACC Tournament, losing in stunning fashion to Pitt. Down to his final strike with two outs in the top of the ninth, Pitt’s Kai Wagner hit a three-run home run to stun FSUand knock the Seminoles out of the ACC Tournament quarterfinals with an 8-6 loss.
So how did that loss impact the Seminoles' projected seeding in the NCAA Tournament?
Here's a rundown.
