The Tennessee Titans would like to get back to the way things were in recent years. There was a time where the franchise had turned themselves into a perennial postseason contender, making the playoffs four times in five seasons between 2017-2021. But since then, they've failed to advance beyond the regular season during four consecutive campaigns.
Last year, the franchise started 1-5 before firing head coach Brian Callahan, and limped to a 3-14 finish. The franchise hired Robert Saleh to take over the head coaching role following the season, and now, they're hoping new leadership and a talented young quarterback can lead them back to prominence. So what is the ceiling (and the floor) for the Tennessee Titans in 2026?
Ceiling: 8-9
Cam Ward was the top NFL Draft pick in 2025 for a reason, and he flashed some serious potential with several massive throws down the stretch last season. Brian Daboll, who has proven to be a successful offensive play-caller, takes over as the offensive coordinator, with elite wideout Wan'Dale Robinson following him from the Giants. They also added an elite receiving prospect in draft pick Carnell Tate. This team likely isn't ready for the postseason yet, but they could make a big jump this year.
Floor: 3-14
There's still a lot of ongoing debate as to whether Robert Saleh got a fair shake as an NFL head coach, or if he's just not cut out for a head coaching role in the league. If the truth ends up being closer to the latter than the former, and Cam Ward doesn't take another step forward as the starting quarterback, then the Titans could be back in the same place they were last year.
