New England Patriots defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga is due for a significant payday in free agency.
Tonga helped the Patriots reach the Super Bowl in 2026. New England lost to the Seattle Seahawks 29-13. Despite the loss, Tonga was a valued contributor for New England in 2025. He recorded two batted passes, in addition to 14 total pressures in the regular season. Tonga proceeded to collect his first sack of the year in the playoffs.
Spotrac estimates Tonga’s market value to be $3.1 million annually in free agency. That ranks at No. 521 in the league this offseason. Spotrac forecasts a two-year deal for Tonga on his next contract.
The largest salary that Tonga has earned in one season came in 2025. The 29-year-old signed a one-year, $2.1 million deal with the Patriots. He previously signed a $1.75 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals in 2024. Prior to 2024, he never had an average annual salary greater than $890,912.
