San Antonio Spurs superstar forward Victor Wembanyama committed the worst turnover of his young career during Game 2 of the 2026 NBA Finals at home on Friday night.

With just seconds to go in the contest and the score tied at 104, Wemby advanced the ball and made an incomprehensible pass to Spurs guard Stephon Castle while Castle's back was to him. The ball bounced off Castle's back and into the hands of New York Knicks superstar guard Jalen Brunson. Wemby fouled him; the rest is history.

We have no idea what Wembanyama saw here or if Castle just completely whiffed on the cue that he was getting the ball. Such an error in literal crunch time of Game 2 in a championship series just can't happen like this.

Brutal, brutal, brutal. We genuinely can't tell you how such a brutal misunderstanding happened between Wemby and Castle here. Spurs fans will be reliving this nightmarish blooper for a long time if they lose the series.
