BEREA ― Day 8 has arrived for the Cleveland Browns in training camp. It's an important day for them, also, because of what it means in the build-up to the season.
As coach Todd Monken has indicated multiple times, the first eight days of training camp are the install portion of camp. The whole practice is designed to get the players up to speed on various aspects of the scheme.
Aug. 6 marks the final day of that install. The Browns will transition on Aug. 7 into more of the true evaluation period of the camp, where the competition ramps up even more.

The Browns also have their third fully-padded practice of the week, with one more waiting on Aug. 8. This marks the fourth of a six-day stretch of practices, the longest such stretch of the season.

The Browns have five remaining training camp practices open to the general public. All practices are scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m., with the gates opening one hour in advance. Practices that are moved inside due to the weather will be closed to the public.
