Stirtz and McCollum are familiar names for March Madness fans. In 2025, the duo won an NCAA Tournament game with Drake when the No. 11 Bulldogs beat No. 6 Missouri. Now in new colors, they return looking to add more wins to a decorated resume.
Standing in their way are the No. 8 seed Clemson Tigers (24-10), a battle-tested squad making its third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance under Brad Brownell. The Tigers enter the tournament following a strong run to the ACC Tournament semifinals, where they notched a signature victory over North Carolina. Known for their defensive grit, Clemson currently ranks as a top-20 defensive unit nationally, led by the veteran interior presence of senior RJ Godfrey and redshirt senior center Nick Davidson.
Though Clemson lost second-leading scorer Carter Welling to a torn ACL in the ACC Tournament, there is still plenty of talent to boast in this game. Between Godfrey, Stirtz, Jestin Porter and Tavion Banks, to name a few, expect individual scoring to be at a high. The winner most likely punches a second-round date with the defending champions Florida Gators.

The 2026 Men's Final Four is set for April 4 and 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The semifinals will be played Saturday night and the national championship game is set for Monday night.
The home of the Indianapolis Colts previously hosted the event in 2010, 2015 and 2021 and is set to host again in 2029. Indianapolis previously hosted the Final Four at other facilities in 1980, 1991, 1997, 2000 and 2006.
