Bryson DeChambeau has endured a miserable time on the course at LIV Golf New York this week.
DeChambeau entered the week knowing that he had to finish ahead of Jon Rahm in order to keep the season-long race alive right up to the final event.
However, his hopes of doing that have already been dashed it seems, after rounds of 76 and 74 left him eight-over par at the midway point of LIV Golf New York.
Bryson DeChambeau has won twice on LIV Golf this season, but he definitely hasn’t been at his best throughout the entirety of the year.

DeChambeau said he is confident about LIV Golf’s future, but he has cut a really frustrated figure out on the golf course this week.
And when he was really unhappy with how things were going, he was faced with a fan shouting a joke about Rory McIlroy midway through his second round in New York.

DeChambeau was really struggling during his second round at Trump Bedminster on Friday.
However, after making a double bogey on the third hole, DeChambeau smoked a tee shot down the third fairway.
“See if Rory can do that“, one fan in the gallery shouted in DeChambeau’s direction.

To which the 32-year-old responded by saying: “Chill out man, I’m seven-over!“
DeChambeau clearly wasn’t in the mood for any laughing and joking, and he certainly wasn’t about to stoke the fire in relation to his rivalry with McIlroy.
Rory McIlroy ripped into Bryson DeChambeau
McIlroy was highly critical of DeChambeau at The Open last month, so perhaps it would have been understandable if the American had joined in the fan’s joke.
After DeChambeau was penalized two strokes on day two at The Open, he kicked up a fuss and his protests meant that nobody got their third-round tee times until really late on Friday night.
And McIlroy was not happy.
“Late night for everyone. Yeah, look, I won’t pretend to be up here and defend Bryson. I’m not particularly fond of him. I think a lot of it’s performative. I think a lot of it’s for attention.“ he said.
“To hold the tournament hostage like that, and to have all of us, players, volunteers, everyone waiting on him to depart, I didn’t feel like it was a great look.“
