Nobody has reason to be happier for Drake London than teammate Bijan Robinson, who's now at the front of the line to get paid by the Atlanta Falcons after London signed a four-year, $141 million contract extension, which included an eye-popping $100 million in guaranteed money.

Fans who are balking at that figure can take comfort in the fact that London is being very humble about it. According to Josh Kendall at The Athletic, London says he knows it's a lot of money and that he has to level up and earn it.

Here's what Robinson told Kendall that he said to London over the phone after learning the news.

"I called him immediately. I was so happy for him,” Robinson said. “He deserves it. I was like, ‘You’re really rich, bro. You have so much money.’ But he’s so humble. He was like, ‘No, bro, I have to go out there and earn it.’”

It's a positive sign and the right attitude. So long as London stays relatively healthy and continues to produce the way he has - or better - then the contract should age pretty well no matter how big it looks right now.

As for Robinson, there's no word yet on exactly where the talks are but he is expected to be next on the list of Falcons to get a huge contract extension, followed by tight end Kyle Pitts.

In both cases Atlanta's new-look front office has plenty of time to negotiate. If no deal is reached by July 15 then Pitts will play out the 2026 season on the franchise tag, while Robinson has had his fifth-year option picked up, so the Falcons control him through the 2027 campaign.

For now, Robinson is arguably the biggest bargain in football at running back - with a cap hit just under $7 million for 2026. He was recently named to NFL.com's annual "best team money can buy" list.
